The workspace is an abode of working professionals. When we refer to this place as an abode, it must be peaceful and well-equipped with the proper infrastructure. When the infrastructure is good, your productivity boosts naturally. The location of Pay 10 Office is in the South East of New Delhi. It is situated on a surreal 4900 sqft area and the construction reached its final stage in 2021, group DCA is the chief architect of this project. The top 5 construction materials have been carefully employed in the construction of this office. Let’s find out how.

Material of Architecture:

The top 5 materials used to construct the Pay 10 office include Hardwood plywood, Glacier carpet tile, Polished flute glass, and triangle green 3D wall cladding.

Hardwood Plywood:

Let us first understand what we mean by plywood. So, plywood is a collection of layers of thin wood sheets glued together on which a thin decorative veneer gets pasted. The Decorative Hardwood Association (DHA) is the governing figure that grades the faces of hardwood plywood from A to E. “A” is the finest quality plywood, and “E” is the worst. The grading purely finds its basis on the quality of the veneer applied to the plywood. One could say that hardwood plywood is a good substitute for hardwood. The difference between pure hardwood and hardwood plywood is the quality and cost. The former is costlier and cannot be customized to suit the design needs. When we compare it to the former, the latter is less pricey and design efficient.

Advantages:

• Higher static bending strength than steel.
• Durable design.

Factors to consider:

• Gluing agents used to stick the layers together,  like urea and formaldehyde can render cancer.
• Get attacked by insects, if no special resistance is used.

Glacier carpet tile:

Glaciers, as we know, are solidified masses of any water body formed during the cold winters near the polar regions. They are hard in nature and appear beautiful. Replicating the properties of a glacier, designers came up with an innovative idea of creating carpets whose fibers are hardened and stick together to make carpets having leveled loop piles in them. This style of carpet finds its application widely in residential and commercial constructions. A basic glacier carpet brings two protective layers, bio-shield and stain warden. The level loops make the surface of the carpets softer. So, now you know about Glacier Carpet tile.

Advantages:

• Easy to maintain.
• The close spacing of the loops keeps away dirt and blemishes.

Factors to consider: 

• Inelastic and bulky, making it slightly uncomfortable to stride on it.
• Thick and cause too much friction.

Polished flute glass:

Known as textured glass, it contains vertical grooves and looks visually appealing. The glass in its semi-molten stage gets crammed by the electric metal rollers. It offers you mediocre privacy due to the hard-pressing shift in light that happens and leads to lower transparency. The cost depends on its thickness, fashion, and size.

Advantages:

• Prevalent for its aesthetics.
• Ideal for interior design.

Factors to consider:

• The space between elevations and depressions makes cleaning difficult.
• Low in strength due to irregularities in the surface due to the design.

Triangle Green 3D wall cladding:

Made from polyethylene, PVC, or engineered plastic, this is a type of design in wall cladding. In the figure below, rectangular bumps are visible at regular intervals. As you move forward by looking at it, you feel the bulges moving in the direction of your eyes. 

Advantages:

• Durable because the plastic fibers are of high quality.
• Visually very attractive.

Factors to consider:

• Its chemical composition makes it highly flammable. 
• Not ideal for high temperatures.
