Upstairs is an ambitious project and Pooja Bihani, is the brains behind it. She is the principal architect and the founder of Spaces and Design Architects. The project is a residential apartment in Kolkata and is spread over an area of 2100 sqft. The house is divided into 3 levels, and 700 sqft is the size of these levels. It is a split-level house with a unique composition of spaces and a characteristic floor plate. There is a connection between every level that offers an unclogged view of each floor. The staircase acts as a physical barricade and serves as a connecting link between two floors. The clients are a young, well-traveled couple who love to be on par with modern trends. Let’s explore the accentuating materials of this project.
