Material Of Architecture:
The chief construction materials of the Kaushal’s Residence are Polish Cevica Tiles, Tuscan Brown Wooden Floor, Matt Pink Faux Suede Fabric, and Black Marble Quartz.
The Polish Cevica Tiles:
Cevica tiles are ceramic tiles, handmade and hand-painted in Spain. They find a broader application for decorative purposes, such as backsplashes, accent walls, and feature areas. Natural clay discovered on the soil plains of Spain is molded and then cut into small squares, hexagons, and irregular shapes. These tiles go through high temperatures to make them durable. The tiles are now ready for design and coloring.
Advantages:
- They are easy to clean and maintain.
- They are fit to use in a variety of spaces.
Factors to consider:
- Installation of these tiles is more complex and requires professionals to install them.
- They are fragile.
Tuscan Brown Wooden Floor:
It is hardwood flooring with a warm, rich, and earthy tone. “Tuscan” refers to Italy, known for its rustic, natural beauty and warm color palette. High-quality hardwoods such as oak, maple, or cherry suit the formation of hardwood. A brown stain enhances its natural grain. They fit well in many interior design styles, from traditional to modern, and add warmth and depth to any room.
Advantages:
- They are durable and easy to maintain.
- They are a premium feature in any home and can increase its resale value.
Factors to consider:
- They are susceptible to scratches and prone to water damage.
- They require professional installation.
Matt Pink Faux Suede Fabric:
It is a synthetic fabric that imitates the texture and appearance of genuine suede leather. It is a combination of polyester and polyurethane. “Matt” refers to the non-shiny or non-glossy finish. It is a popular choice for clothing, home decor, and upholstery.
Advantages:
- They are very soft and comfortable against the skin.
- They are durable and aesthetically pleasing.
Factors to consider:
- They are not resistant to water as compared to the other materials.
- They are environmentally unsustainable because of the use of synthetic materials.
Black Marble Quartz:
Black Marble Quartz is an engineered stone and a mixture of natural quartz minerals, resins, and pigments. It mimics the natural black marble.
Advantages:
- It is resistant to scratches and easy to clean and maintain.
- It has a consistent color, unlike natural marble.
Factors to consider:
- It is not entirely heat-proof and damaged under extreme temperatures.
- Requires professional installation, which can add more cost to the project.
Conclusion:
The construction items of Kaushal’s residence make it an unpretentious beauty. Also, check the materials of architecture used in the Shekharam Residence, by TWOi Architects.
